Chirality and spin selectivity in electron transfer processes: from quantum detection to quantum enabled technologies

Recent observations have shown that electrons exhibit a preferred direction of their spin after propagating through chiral organic or inorganic materials. This effect of spin polarization is called Chirality-Induced Spin Selectivity (CISS). The CASTLe project aims to leverage the CISS effect in quantum applications, such as quantum computers and quantum sensors..
